is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

8.
A
person
under
sixteen
years
of
age
is
not
required
to

have
a
hunting
license
to
hunt
game
or
a
fur
harvester
license

to
trap
fur-bearing
animals
if
accompanied
by
the
minor’s
5
parent
or
guardian
or
in
company
with
any
other
competent
adult
6
with
the
consent
of
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian,
if
the
7
person
accompanying
the
minor
possesses
a
valid
hunting
license
8
while
hunting
game
or
fur
harvester
license
while
trapping
9
fur-bearing
animals
;
however,
there
must
be
one
licensed
adult
10
accompanying
each
person
under
sixteen
years
of
age.
The
minor
11
must
have
a
deer
hunting
license
to
hunt
deer
and
a
wild
turkey
12
hunting
license
to
hunt
wild
turkey
appropriate
for
the
minor’s
13
residency
status.
This
subsection
is
not
restricted
by
the
14
provisions
of
section
483A.31
.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

the
members

the
general
assembly.

This
Act
relates
to
trapping
fur-bearing
animals
by
persons
19
under
16
years
of
age.
20
Under
current
law,
a
person
under
16
years
old
is
not
21
required
to
have
a
license
to
hunt
game
if
the
minor
is
22
accompanied
by
the
minor’s
parent,
guardian,
or
other
competent
23
adult
with
consent
from
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian
and
the
24
person
accompanying
the
minor
has
a
valid
hunting
license.
25
The
bill
allows
a
person
under
16
years
of
age
to
also
trap
26
fur-bearing
animals
without
a
license
while
accompanied
by
the
27
minor’s
parent,
guardian,
or
other
competent
adult
with
consent
28
from
the
minor’s
parent
or
guardian
and
the
person
accompanying
29
the
minor
has
a
valid
fur
harvester
license.
There
must
be
one
30
licensed
adult
accompanying
each
person
under
the
age
of
16
31
trapping
pursuant
to
the
bill.
