  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  136D.3A  Minors' use of tanning
  1  2 devices prohibited.
  1  3    A tanning facility shall not allow a person under eighteen
  1  4 years of age to use a tanning device.
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1  7 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1  8    This bill prohibits tanning facilities from allowing a
  1  9 person under the age of 18 to use a tanning device.  A facility
  1 10 violating the bill may be assessed a civil penalty of up to
  1 11 $1,000 per day of continuing violation.
