amended
by
adding

CODE
EDITOR
DIRECTIVE.
Upon
the
effective
date
of

2024
Iowa
Acts,
chapter
1019,
section
2,
the
Code
editor
shall

renumber
Code
section
618.3,
subsection
5,
as
enacted
by
this
7
Act,
as
Code
section
618.3,
subsection
1,
paragraph
“h”.

Sec.
3.
EFFECTIVE
DATE.
This
Act,
being
deemed
of
immediate
9
importance,
takes
effect
upon
enactment.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
12
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
a
newspaper
to
comply
with
the
14
requirements
of
16
C.F.R.
pt.
425,
relating
to
the
cancellation
15
of
subscriptions,
in
order
to
be
designated
as
a
newspaper
for
16
the
official
publication
of
public
notices.
The
bill
takes
17
effect
upon
enactment.
The
bill
directs
the
Code
editor
to
18
renumber
the
subsection
enacted
in
the
bill
in
conformity
with
19
2024
Iowa
Acts,
chapter
1019,
section
2,
upon
the
effective
20
date
of
that
section
of
that
Act.
