The
congenital
and

inherited
disorders
advisory
committee
Iowa
newborn
screening

panel
subcommittee
may
evaluate
and
make
recommendations,

annually,
regarding
additions
to
the
Iowa
newborn
screening

panel
of
all
core
conditions
listed
on
the
recommended
uniform

screening
panel
recommended
by
the
secretary
of
the
United
6
States
department
of
health
and
human
services
advisory
7
committee
on
heritable
disorders
in
newborns
and
children
as
of

July
1,
2019.
The
department
of
public
health
shall
submit
a
9
report
of
the
results
of
the
congenital
and
inherited
disorders

advisory
committee
Iowa
newborn
screening
panel
subcommittee’s

evaluation
to
the
governor
and
the
general
assembly,
annually,

by
January
1.

bill
authorizes
the
congenital
and
inherited
disorders

advisory
committee

screening
panel
subcommittee

to
evaluate
and
make
recommendations,
annually,

regarding
additions
to
the
Iowa
newborn
screening
panel
of
all
20
core
conditions
listed
on
the
recommended
uniform
screening

panel
recommended
by
the
secretary
of
the
United
States

department
of
health
and
human
services
advisory
committee
on

disorders
in
newborns
and
children
as
of
July
1,

2019.
The
bill
requires
the
department
of

health
to
