The
department
of
human
services

shall
develop
and
oversee
a
pilot
program
beginning
January
3
1,
2022,
and
ending
December
31,
2023,
to
allow
Medicaid

members
in
specified
categories
to
receive
primary
care
health
5
services,
as
defined
in
section
135N.1,
through
a
direct
6
primary
care
arrangement,
with
the
Iowa
Medicaid
enterprise
7
acting
as
the
third-party
payor
for
such
services
utilizing
8
state-only
funds.
The
eligible
Medicaid
member
categories
9
shall
include
childless
adults
and
pregnant
women.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
department
of
human
services
to
