1B.3,
Code
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as

follows:

Flags
on
public
buildings.

1.
It
shall
be
the
duty
of
any
board
of
public
officers

charged
with
providing
supplies
for
a
public
building
in
the
5
state
to
provide
a
suitable
state
flag
and
it
shall
be
the
duty
6
of
the
custodian
of
that
public
building
to
raise
the
flags
of
7
the
United
States
of
America
and
the
state
of
Iowa,
upon
each
8
secular
day
when
weather
conditions
are
favorable.

2.
A
custodian
of
a
public
building
in
the
state
shall
10
only
be
authorized
to
raise
the
flags
of
the
United
States
of
11
America,
the
state
of
Iowa,
the
national
league
of
prisoner
of
12
war/missing
in
action
families,
and
an
official
flag
adopted
13
by
the
political
subdivision
that
owns
or
operates
the
public

building.

Section
280.5,
Code
2020,
is
amended
to
read
as

school
sites

1.
The
board
of
directors
of
each
public
school
district

and
the
authorities
in
charge
of
each
nonpublic
school
shall

provide
and
maintain
a
suitable
flagstaff
on
each
school
site

under
its
control,
and
the
United
States
flag
and
the
Iowa
23
state
flag
shall
be
raised
on
all
school
days
when
weather
24
conditions
are
suitable.

2.
The
board
of
directors
of
a
public
school
district
shall

only
be
authorized
to
raise
the
flags
of
the
United
States
of

the

of
