Permitting
coaching
staff
and
personnel

accessing
locker
rooms
before,
during,
or
after
athletic

events
or
practices.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

Current
law
prohibits
a
person
from
entering
a
multiple
9
occupancy
restroom
or
changing
area
that
does
not
correspond
10
with
the
person’s
sex,
with
some
exceptions.
This
bill
creates
11
a
new
exception
and
permits
coaching
staff
and
personnel
to
12
access
locker
rooms
designated
for
the
opposite
sex
before,
13
during,
or
after
athletic
events
or
practices.
