AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 485
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 485 on page 2, by
replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:
"(b-5) During a period beginning September 1 of the year of
a general election and ending the day after the general
election, the proper name or image of any officer or member
shall not be included in a public announcement on behalf of an
officer, member, or State agency related to any contract or
grant awarded by a State agency. Nothing in this subsection
(b-5) prohibits a State agency from issuing notification of the
award or grant of a contract, provided the notification does
not include the proper name or image of any officer or member.
This subsection (b-5) does not prohibit an officer or member
from attending any public or private event associated with the
award or grant of contract or from being included on a list of
attendees disseminated to the public.".
