AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4951
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4951 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by adding
Section 8-1.3 as follows:
(70 ILCS 1205/8-1.3 new)
Sec. 8-1.3. Use of proceeds from special events.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, at least 55% of
the special event permit fees, including, but not limited to
application fees, collected by the Chicago Park District on or
after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd
General Assembly must be used for capital, construction, or
programming purposes at the specific park where the special
event occurs.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
