Summary

Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires a recipient of medical assistance to call and obtain authorization from the recipient's local public aid office before receiving a replacement supply of lost or stolen prescription medications or an early vacation supply of prescription medications covered under the State's medical assistance program. Authorizes the Department to promulgate rules necessary to implement this provision.
