Summary

Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the State's Attorney shall request the appointment of a special prosecutor for officer-involved deaths. Defines "officer-involved death". Provides that the Illinois Supreme Court may make such rules as they deem necessary and expedient to guide or limit courts in appointing special prosecutors for officer-involved deaths. Effective immediately.
