Summary

Amends provisions of the Criminal Code of 1961 establishing exemptions to the offense of unlawful use of weapons. In provisions exempting a person who is an active member of a bona fide, nationally recognized military re-enacting group possessing a vintage rifle or modern reproduction with a barrel or barrels less than 16 inches in length for use during historical re-enactments, deletes language requiring the person to have a Curios and Relics license from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Adds language exempting a person who has a Curios and Relics license from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from certain provisions prohibiting the unlawful use of weapons. Effective immediately.
