Summary

Amends the Property Tax Code. In a Section concerning the Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption, provides that the total property tax liability of any property receiving an exemption under that Section may not exceed the total property tax liability for that property in the immediately preceding taxable year, increased by the lesser of (i) the percentage increase, if any, in the total equalized assessed value all taxable property in the county over the immediately preceding taxable year, or (ii) one-half of the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index during the immediately preceding taxable year. Effective immediately.
