Bill Title: Requires the Department of State Police to develop a coordinated program for a statewide emergency alert system, known as the Blue Alert System, to notify persons in the State when a peace officer has been assaulted and the person or persons who perpetrated the assault have not been arrested. Creates a Blue Alert System Task Force to monitor and review the implementation and operation of the Blue Alert System. Requires the Department to conduct a public education campaign about the Blue Alert System. Provides for the appointment of a Blue Alert System Coordinator. Defines "peace officer".
