Requires the Department to establish guidelines for participation by providers and set requirements for follow-up referral care based on each caries risk assessment code required for each student. Provides that every effort shall be made to ensure that children enrolled in the school-based dental program are assigned a primary dentist by allowing local dentists who practice within each school district the opportunity to participate in the school dental program prior to utilizing mobile dental services or dental providers outside the individual school boundaries. Provides that no provider shall be charged a fee by any unit of local government to participate in the school-based dental program administered by the Department. Effective immediately.
