Bill Title: Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 concerning hazing. Changes the elements of hazing. Changes the mental state for hazing from knowingly requiring the performance of any act by another to recklessly, knowingly, or intentionally subjecting a student or other person in a school, college, university, or other educational institution in the State to the risk of bodily or mental harm by performing or requiring the performance of an act, for the purpose of, or as a condition of, conferring, gaining or maintaining acceptance, membership, office, or other status in any group, organization, or society associated or connected with that institution, regardless of the student's or other person's express or implied consent or acquiescence, if: (1) the act or occurrence is neither sanctioned or authorized by that educational institution nor is a customary athletic event or similar contest or competition; and (2) the act or occurrence results in bodily or mental harm to any person.
