Bill Title: Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that the penalty for a person who commits a false personation by knowingly and falsely representing himself or herself to be an active-duty member of the Armed Services or Reserve Forces of the United States or the National Guard or a veteran of the Armed Services or Reserve Forces of the United States or the National Guard and obtains money, property, or another tangible benefit through that false representation is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor for which the offender shall be fined $5,000 (rather than a petty offense for which the offender shall be fined at least $100 and not more than $200).
