Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Department of Transportation shall not authorize the use of an automated traffic law enforcement system by a municipality or county on a highway under the Department's jurisdiction unless the municipality or county provides proof of a significant increase in safety throughout the State from the use of automated traffic law enforcement systems. Provides that in approving the use of an automated traffic law enforcement system, the Department shall not consider information regarding the number of potential or actual violations of provisions of the Code or a local ordinance that may be identified through the automated traffic law enforcement system.
