Bill Title: Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Provides that, if a fine is imposed on an owner licensee for knowingly sending marketing or promotional materials to any person placed on the self-exclusion list, then the Illinois Gaming Board shall distribute an amount equal to 15% of the fine imposed to the unit of local government in which the riverboat is located for the purpose of awarding grants to non-profit entities that assist gambling addicts. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning gaming.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Riverboat Gambling Act is amended by adding
Section 18.1 as follows:
(230 ILCS 10/18.1 new)
Sec. 18.1. Distribution of certain fines. If a fine is
imposed on an owner licensee for knowingly sending marketing or
promotional materials to any person placed on the
self-exclusion list, then the Board shall distribute an amount
equal to 15% of the fine imposed to the unit of local
government in which the riverboat is located for the purpose of
awarding grants to non-profit entities that assist gambling
addicts.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
