| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 671 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Children's Privacy Protection and Parental | ||||||
| 5 | Empowerment Act is amended by changing Section 10 as follows:

| 7 | Sec. 10. Prohibited act. | ||||||
| 8 | (a) The sale or purchase of personal information concerning | ||||||
| 9 | an individual known to
be a child
without parental consent is | ||||||
| 10 | prohibited.
| ||||||
| 11 | (b) This Section does not apply when the sale or purchase | ||||||
| 12 | described in subsection (a) is made under a criminal | ||||||
| 13 | investigation that is otherwise lawful. | ||||||
