Bill Title: Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. In the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, the Life Care Facilities Act, the Nursing Home Care Act, the MC/DD Act, and the ID/DD Community Care Act, removes provisions requiring that establishments or facilities licensed under the Acts post on the home page of the licensed establishment's or facility's website the following statement: "The Illinois Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is a free resident advocacy service available to the public.". Provides that an establishment or a facility is not required to comply with the requirement to post the required information in instances where the parent company operates in multiple states and the establishment or facility does not maintain a unique website. Effective January 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
amended by adding Section 73 as follows:
(210 ILCS 9/73 new)
Sec. 73. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
information.
(a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
establishments shall post on the home page of the
establishment's website the following:
(1) The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's statewide
toll-free telephone number.
(2) A link to the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's
website.
(b) An establishment:
(1) may comply with this Section by posting the
required information on the website of the establishment's
parent company if the establishment does not maintain a
unique website;
(2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
establishment and any parent company do not maintain a
website; and
(3) is not required to comply with this Section in
instances where the parent company operates in multiple
states and the establishment does not maintain a unique
website.
Section 10. The Life Care Facilities Act is amended by
adding Section 10.3 as follows:
(210 ILCS 40/10.3 new)
Sec. 10.3. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
information.
(a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
facilities shall post on the home page of the facility's
website the following:
(1) The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's statewide
toll-free telephone number.
(2) A link to the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's
website.
(b) A facility:
(1) may comply with this Section by posting the
required information on the website of the facility's
parent company if the facility does not maintain a unique
website;
(2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
facility and any parent company do not maintain a website;
and
(3) is not required to comply with this Section in

Section 15. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding
Section 3-615 as follows:

website the following:
(1) The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's statewide

parent company if the facility does not maintain a unique

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
1, 2024.
