Bill Title: Creates the Illinois Police Canine Certification Act. Creates the Illinois Police Canine Certification Board. Sets forth the membership of the Board. Provides that the Board shall establish requirements for certification of police canines used by law enforcement agencies within the State. Provides that the requirements shall be adopted by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board. Provides that each law enforcement agency that uses police canines shall comply with the certification requirements within 12 months after the adoption of the requirements. Provides that the Board shall review statistical reports of the use of police canines for traffic stops. Amends the Department of State Police Law to provide that the Department of State Police shall provide administrative support to the Board. Effective immediately.

2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1195 as follows:
3on page 1, line 9, by replacing "11" with "13"; and
4on page 1, line 23, by deleting "and"; and
5on page 1, immediately below line 23, by inserting the
6following:
7 "(6) two members appointed by the Secretary of State
8 Police; and"; and
9on page 2, line 1, by replacing "(6)" with "(7)".
