Bill Title: Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Provides that upon admission to a mental health facility, the facility director is responsible for renewing the registration of a sex offender as defined in the Sex Offender Registration Act who is admitted on an inpatient basis. Provides that the facility director shall act in the name of the sex offender and perform the renewal duties prescribed for sex offenders under the Sex Offender Registration Act, including the payment of registration renewal fees. Amends the Sex Offender Registration Act to make conforming changes. Effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1267
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1267 on page 1, line
9, by inserting after "facility," the following:
"other than a hospital licensed under the Hospital Licensing
Act or organized under the University of Illinois Hospital
Act,"; and
on page 11, line 5, by inserting "on an inpatient basis" after
"admitted"; and
on page 11, line 6, by replacing "on an inpatient basis" with
the following:
", other than a hospital licensed under the Hospital Licensing
Act or organized under the University of Illinois Hospital
Act".
