AN ACT concerning employment.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Child Labor Law is amended by changing
Section 4 as follows:
(820 ILCS 205/4) (from Ch. 48, par. 31.4)
Sec. 4. No minor under sixteen (16) years of age shall be
employed, or permitted to work in any gainful occupations
mentioned in Section 1 of this Act for more than five (5) hours
continuously without an interval of at least thirty (30)
minutes for meal period, and and no period of less than thirty
(30) minutes shall be deemed to interrupt a continuous period
of work.
