Bill Title: Amends the Park District Code. Provides that a park district may levy taxes for corporate purposes or recreational programs to a total rate that does not exceed the total of the rates authorized under the Act for those purposes. Provides that a tax increase for corporate purposes or recreational programs may not exceed the extension limitation set forth in the Property Tax Code. Effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1578
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1578 on page 2, by
3replacing lines 24 through 25 with the following: "In no
4instance shall the increase for corporate purposes cause the
5park district to exceed the limiting rate that the park
6district is subject to"; and
7by replacing line 26 on page 5 through line 1 on page 6 with the
8following: "maintaining recreation programs cause the park
9district to exceed the limiting rate that the park district is
10subject to under Section".
