AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||
adding Section 194 as follows:

(5 ILCS 490/194 new) | ||||
Sec. 194. Illinois Constitution Day. August 26 of each | ||||
year is designated as Illinois Constitution Day, to be | ||||
observed throughout the State as a day to commemorate August | ||||
26, 1818 as the day Illinois ratified its first State | ||||
Constitution.
