| 1 | AN ACT concerning government.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 194 as follows:

| 6 | (5 ILCS 490/194 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 194. Illinois Constitution Day. August 26 of each | ||||||
| 8 | year is designated as Illinois Constitution Day, to be | ||||||

| 10 | 26, 1818 as the day Illinois ratified its first State | ||||||
| 11 | Constitution.
