1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Parentage Act of 1984 is amended by
5changing Section 2 as follows:
6 (750 ILCS 45/2) (from Ch. 40, par. 2502)
7 Sec. 2. Parent and Child Relationship Defined. As used in
8this Act, "parent and and child relationship" means the legal
9relationship existing between a child and his natural or
10adoptive parents incident to which the law confers or imposes
11rights, privileges, duties, and obligations. It includes the
12mother and child relationship and the father and child
13relationship.
