Bill Title: Amends the Payday Loan Reform Act. Provides that notwithstanding any other provision of law, a violation of any provision of Section 670 of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007, Public Law 109-364, or any regulation adopted pursuant thereto shall be deemed to be a violation of the Payday Loan Reform Act. Strikes language regarding limiting collection efforts of payday loan lenders against consumers who are members of the military.

AN ACT concerning business.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The Payday Loan Reform Act is amended by adding | ||||
Section 2-51 as follows:

(815 ILCS 122/2-51 new) | ||||
Sec. 2-51. Violation of Federal law constitutes a violation | ||||
of this Act with respect to practices concerning members of the | ||||
military and their dependents. Notwithstanding any other | ||||
provision of law, a violation of any provision of Section 670 | ||||
of the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for | ||||
Fiscal Year 2007, Public Law 109-364, or any regulation adopted | ||||
pursuant thereto shall be deemed to be a violation of this Act.
