AN ACT concerning health.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Child Vision and Hearing Test Act is
amended by adding Section 4.5 as follows:
(410 ILCS 205/4.5 new)
Sec. 4.5. Color discrimination tests mandatory.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
color discrimination tests shall be performed in all vision
screening services under this Act. The Department of Public
Health shall adopt rules implementing this Section before
January 1, 2027.
