Bill Title: Amends the Election Code. Provides that, to encourage youth voter participation, each high school in the State shall hold at least 2 nonpartisan voter registration days per year: (i) one nonpartisan voter registration day shall be held on the second Tuesday in October or the first day thereafter that school is in session; and (ii) the other shall be held on the second Tuesday in February or the first day thereafter that school is in session.

10 ILCS 5/1A-60

Amends the Election Code. 1 AN ACT concerning elections.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
5Section 1A-60 as follows:
6 (10 ILCS 5/1A-60)
7 Sec. 1A-60. High school voter registration.
8 (a) The State Board of Elections shall prepare a one page
9document explaining the process to register to vote to be
10disseminated to high school age students. Every high school
11must provide students with that document, which may be
12disseminated electronically.
13 (b) No high school may prohibit nonpartisan voter
14registration activities on its premises. A high school may
15adopt reasonable regulations restricting nonpartisan voter
16registration activities.
17 (c) To encourage youth voter participation, each high
18school in this State shall hold at least 2 nonpartisan voter
19registration days per year: (i) one nonpartisan voter
20registration day shall be held on the second Tuesday in
