SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
35 ILCS 5/506.1 new

Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Provides that, if a disaster is declared by proclamation of the Governor for all counties in the State due to a public health emergency, the income tax filing and tax payment deadline required by the State of Illinois shall be extended until 90 days after the end of the Governor's declaration. 1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The is amended by adding Section 506.1 as
5follows:
6 (35 ILCS 5/506.1 new)
7 Sec. 506.1. Tax filing deadline extended; public health
8emergency. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, if a
9disaster is declared by proclamation of the Governor for all
10counties in the State due to a public health emergency, the
11income tax filing and tax payment deadline required by the
12State of Illinois shall be extended until 90 days after the end
13of the Governor's declaration.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15becoming law.
