Authorizes the Department of Military Affairs to convey described real estate in Cass County. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning land.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State of
5Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs, is authorized
6to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and interest of
7the State of Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs in
8and to the real estate described in Section 10 to the
9Beardstown Park District, subject to the conditions and
10restriction described in Section 15.
11 Section 10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey
12the following described real property:
13Parcel No. 1
14 Part of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4), Section Fourteen
15(14), Township Eighteen (18) North, Range Twelve (12) West of
16the Third Principal Meridian, Cass County, Illinois, described
17as follows:
18 Beginning at the center Southeast Quarter (SE1/4), Section
19 Fourteen (14), Township Eighteen (18) North, Range Twelve
20 (12) West of the Third Principal Meridian; thence South
21 zero degrees, six minutes, thirty-two seconds (0° 6' 32")

1 East, three hundred eighty-one and seventy-eight
2 hundredths (381.78) feet along the North and South
3 Centerline of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4), said Section
4 Fourteen (14); thence North sixty-four degrees, fifty-four
5 minutes, twenty-six seconds (64° 54' 26") West, two hundred
6 eight-four and fifty-nine hundredths (284.59) feet; thence
7 South fifteen degrees, thirty-five minutes, fifty-six
8 seconds (15° 35' 56") West, two hundred twenty-three and
9 sixty-hundredths (223.60) feet to a point on the North
10 Right-of-Way Line of the Original S.B.I. Route No. 3,
11 formerly U.S. Route No. 67; then North sixty degrees,
12 twelve minutes, four seconds (60° 12' 4") West, three
13 hundred nine and twenty-hundredths (309.20) feet along
14 said Right-of-Way Line; thence North twenty-five degrees,
15 fifty-four minutes, fifty-six seconds (25° 54' 56") East,
16 six hundred thirty-one (631.0) feet; thence North
17 eighty-six degrees, twenty-three minutes, fifteen seconds
18 (86° 23' 15") East, three hundred ten and thirteen
19 hundredths (310.13) feet to a point on the North and South
20 Center-line of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4), said Section
21 Fourteen (14); thence South zero degrees, six minutes,
22 thirty-two seconds (0° 6' 32") East, two sixty-four and
23 fifty hundredths (264.50) feet along said Centerline to the
24 Point of Beginning, containing six and forty-three (6.43)
25 acres, more or less.

10 seconds (89° 53' 28") East, three hundred fifty (350) feet
11 along the North Boundary of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4)
12 of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of said Section Fourteen
13 (14); thence South twelve degrees, eighteen minutes,
14 thirty-two seconds (12° 18' 32") West, four hundred
15 sixty-eight and five-tenths (468.5) feet; thence North
16 seventy-three degrees, twelve minutes, twelve seconds (73°
17 12' 12") West, two hundred sixty and fifty-hundredths
18 (260.50) feet; to a point on the North and South Centerline
19 of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of said Section Fourteen
20 (14); thence North zero degrees, six minutes, thirty-two
21 seconds (0° 6' 32") West, three hundred eighty-one and
22 seventy-eight (381.78) feet along said North and South
23 Centerline to the Point of Beginning, containing two and
24 ninety-three (2.93) acres, more or less.

1 Section 15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the real
2property described in Section 10 to the Beardstown Park
3District until the Adjutant General determines that the
4property is no longer required for military purposes.
5Conveyance of the above real property will be in an "as is"
6condition, and the Beardstown Park District will pay all
7required costs and expenses for the conveyance, as determined
8by the Adjutant General. The Quitclaim Deed shall state on its
9face and be subject to the condition that if the property is no
10longer used for public purposes, then title shall revert
11without further action to the State of Illinois.
12 Section 20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified
13copy of this Act from the Secretary of State within 60 days
14after its effective date and, upon the conveyance of the real
15estate described in Section 10 being made, shall cause the
16certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of the
17Recorder of Cass County.
18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19becoming law.
