| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Mark Donovan on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as Vice-Chancellor for | ||||||
| 5 | Administrative Services for the University of Illinois at | ||||||
| 6 | Chicago (UIC) on March 31, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Mark Donovan has served with UIC for over 32 | ||||||
| 8 | years; he also served UIC as Executive Director for Facilities | ||||||
| 9 | Management and Capital Programs, as Vice-Chancellor for | ||||||
| 10 | Facilities Management/Director of Operations and Maintenance, | ||||||
| 11 | and as Director of Building
Operations; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Mark Donovan is a Commissioner for the Illinois | ||||||
| 13 | Student Assistance Commission; he is a member of several
| ||||||
| 14 | professional organizations, including the Association of | ||||||
| 15 | Physical Plant Administrators at Universities and
Colleges and | ||||||
| 16 | the Building Owners and Managers Association; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Before he joined UIC, Mark Donovan served as | ||||||
| 18 | manager of Chicago O'Hare Airport for the City of Chicago
| ||||||
| 19 | Department of Aviation, and as manager of Building Operations | ||||||
| 20 | and Services for the City of Chicago Public
Works; and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Mark Donovan holds a master's degree in public | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a
| ||||||
| 2 | bachelor's degree in political science from John Carroll | ||||||
| 3 | University; he resides in Chicago; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 5 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | congratulate Mark Donovan on his retirement as Vice-Chancellor | ||||||
| 7 | for Administrative Services for the University of Illinois at | ||||||
| 8 | Chicago, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; | ||||||
| 9 | and be it further
