HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tony
4Gaudio of Jacksonville, who passed away on July 8, 2011; and
5 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was born on November 15, 1947, in
6Litchfield; he was the son of Anton and Leona Darte Gaudio; he
7married Susan Byers Lockman on June 22, 2007, in the Grand
8Cayman Islands; and
9 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was a 1965 graduate of Jacksonville
10High School and a 1969 graduate of Western Illinois University;
11following his college graduation, he began working at GTE in
12Chicago as a computer software designer; in 1972, he returned
13to Jacksonville to join the family business, A. Gaudio and
14Sons; he served as president of the company at the time of his
15passing; and
16 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was a member of the Elks Club, the
17Moose Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Jacksonville Kiwanis,
18and the Jacksonville Country Club; he was a member and
19supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and was a recipient of
20the Silver Beaver Award; he was also a member and a former
21board member of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois;

1 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio enjoyed playing golf and bowling and
2was a fan of many sports teams, especially the St. Louis
3Cardinals and the University of Illinois basketball team; he
4enjoyed spending time with his friends and family most of all;
5and
6 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was preceded in death by his father;
7and
8 WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio is survived by his wife, Susan; his
9mother, Leona Gaudio; his brother, Steve (special friend,
10Kristy Bonnett) Gaudio; and his stepchildren, Mandy (fiance,
11Billy Leib) Lockman and Andrew Lockman; therefore, be it
12 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
15Tony Gaudio; and be it further
16 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Tony Gaudio as an expression of our
18sympathy.
