2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Tony | ||||||
4 | Gaudio of Jacksonville, who passed away on July 8, 2011; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was born on November 15, 1947, in | ||||||
6 | Litchfield; he was the son of Anton and Leona Darte Gaudio; he | ||||||
7 | married Susan Byers Lockman on June 22, 2007, in the Grand | ||||||
8 | Cayman Islands; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was a 1965 graduate of Jacksonville | ||||||
10 | High School and a 1969 graduate of Western Illinois University; | ||||||
11 | following his college graduation, he began working at GTE in | ||||||
12 | Chicago as a computer software designer; in 1972, he returned | ||||||
13 | to Jacksonville to join the family business, A. Gaudio and | ||||||
14 | Sons; he served as president of the company at the time of his | ||||||
15 | passing; and

16 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was a member of the Elks Club, the | ||||||
17 | Moose Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Jacksonville Kiwanis, | ||||||
18 | and the Jacksonville Country Club; he was a member and | ||||||
19 | supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and was a recipient of | ||||||
20 | the Silver Beaver Award; he was also a member and a former | ||||||
21 | board member of the Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois; | ||||||

1 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio enjoyed playing golf and bowling and | ||||||
2 | was a fan of many sports teams, especially the St. Louis | ||||||
3 | Cardinals and the University of Illinois basketball team; he | ||||||
4 | enjoyed spending time with his friends and family most of all; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio was preceded in death by his father; | ||||||
7 | and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Tony Gaudio is survived by his wife, Susan; his | ||||||
9 | mother, Leona Gaudio; his brother, Steve (special friend, | ||||||
10 | Kristy Bonnett) Gaudio; and his stepchildren, Mandy (fiance, | ||||||
11 | Billy Leib) Lockman and Andrew Lockman; therefore, be it
| ||||||
12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
13 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
14 | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | ||||||
15 | Tony Gaudio; and be it further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Tony Gaudio as an expression of our | ||||||
18 | sympathy.
