2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Susie M. | ||||||
4 | "Sue" Nathan of Peoria, who passed away on March 10, 2024; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan was born to Ada Jackson in Peoria on | ||||||
6 | January 14, 1953; attended Peoria Manual High School; she | ||||||
7 | married Howard Nathan Sr. in Peoria on December 5, 1969; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for over | ||||||
9 | 30 years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan committed to her faith in 1974 and was | ||||||
11 | a member of the Church of the Living God of Peoria; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan devoted her life to her family, | ||||||
13 | supporting them in every area of their lives; she loved | ||||||
14 | spending time with family and friends; she enjoyed watching | ||||||
15 | Leave It to Beaver; and

16 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan was known for her ability to make | ||||||
17 | everyone feel special and loved; she will be remembered for | ||||||
18 | her wonderful personality, her warmth, and her generous heart; | ||||||

2 | her son, Howard Nathan Jr.; her grandson, Robert D. Nathan | ||||||
3 | Sr.; two brothers; and two sisters; and

4 | WHEREAS, Sue Nathan is survived by her husband of 54 | ||||||
5 | years; her daughters, Angennette, Roberta, Camisha, Stacey | ||||||
6 | Nathan, and Tonya; her son, Charles Nathan Sr.; her brothers, | ||||||
7 | Vice Chief Bishop Leroy (Salmena) Smith, Curtis Jackson, | ||||||
8 | Ernest Jackson, James (Felicia) Alexander, and Gregory Herron; | ||||||
9 | her brother-in-law, Craig Bailey Sr.; her sisters, Linda Faye | ||||||
10 | Randle, Lee Lee Williams, Elaine (Bobby) Jones, Linda Jones, | ||||||
11 | Chantay (Corey) Gray, Vickie (Randy) Wyatt, and Angie Herron; | ||||||
12 | her goddaughter, Towanna (Kim) Wyatt; her mother-in-law, | ||||||

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
18 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
19 | we mourn the passing of Susie M. "Sue" Nathan and extend our | ||||||
20 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
21 | and loved her; and be it further

22 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
23 | presented to the family of Sue Nathan as an expression of our |
