3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Shuntel | ||||||
4 | Rapheal "Shun" "Best Kept" Williams, who passed away on April | ||||||
5 | 1, 2024; and

6 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams was born to Felicia Elise McClain | ||||||
7 | and Larry (Doby) Williams in Peoria on November 20, 1982; he | ||||||
8 | committed to his faith at an early age and attended Faith | ||||||
9 | Missionary Full Gospel Church; he was engaged to Sharece Marie | ||||||
10 | Yearian, his partner of 10 years, and they raised two children | ||||||
11 | together, Champion Emory-Maddox Williams and De'Kijia Vonece; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams was a dedicated employee at Little | ||||||
14 | Caesars Pizza, a position that allowed him to pursue his | ||||||
15 | passions; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams was deeply passionate about music | ||||||
17 | and was a talented musician and rapper; he collaborated and | ||||||
18 | recorded with numerous talented artists, including his | ||||||
19 | lifelong best friend, Greg Flowers, known as Passport Louis; | ||||||
20 | Some of his career highlights include recording at Grand | ||||||
21 | Hustle Studios, also known as T.I. Studios, in Atlanta, | ||||||
22 | Georgia and recording with King Louis; his classic album |

1 | Lisa's Youngest Boy garnered widespread acclaim and headlined | ||||||
2 | at the South by Southwest "SXSW" festival in Austin, Texas; he | ||||||
3 | also performed at the Michigan Music Festival and the Peoria | ||||||
4 | Riverfront Festival; he was known for his collaborations and | ||||||
5 | tours with underground artists, including King Louie, Mickey | ||||||
6 | Factz, the Founder of Pendulum Inc., and No Fatigue; he had | ||||||
7 | recently released one of his first solo songs and was a | ||||||
8 | finalist in the Royalty of the Mic event in 2023; and

9 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams enjoyed traveling with his family | ||||||
10 | and acting as their personal comedian; his love for his family | ||||||
11 | knew no bounds; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams was a force of nature, pouring his | ||||||
13 | heart and soul into his music and everything he did; he will be | ||||||
14 | remembered for his infectious smile, laugh, and music; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | father; his brother, Shadrone McClain; his aunt, Earnestine | ||||||
17 | Williams; and his grandparents, Ernest McClain, Nellie Corrine | ||||||
18 | McClain, Excenia Woods Cannon, and Willie Williams; and

19 | WHEREAS, Shun Williams is survived by his children, | ||||||
20 | Jayshun Sincere, Janya Anarie Angie, Jaliyah Elise Brenaisa, | ||||||
21 | and Justice Tahiry; his mother; his sisters, Tiffany Williams | ||||||
22 | and Angela Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, |
