3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Wheaton | ||||||
4 | Warrenville South High School Football Team, the Tigers, on | ||||||
5 | winning the Class 7A State Championship on November 28, 2009; | ||||||

7 | WHEREAS, The game between Wheaton Warrenville South and | ||||||
8 | Glenbard West was a classic game held at Memorial Stadium in | ||||||
9 | Champaign; after outlasting the Hilltoppers 31-24 in two | ||||||
10 | overtime periods, the Tigers prevailed and are now champions; | ||||||
11 | and

12 | WHEREAS,
Tigers junior Matt Rogers scored from 1 yard out | ||||||
13 | in the second overtime to win the game;
Wheaton Warrenville | ||||||
14 | South led 7-3 at the break, with Glenbard West pushing ahead | ||||||
15 | and making the score 10-7; a Tiger field goal tied the game in | ||||||
16 | the third quarter; and
