| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the | ||||||
| 4 | Illini Central boys basketball team for their wonderful season; | ||||||
| 5 | and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, After starting the season with a 3-10 record, with | ||||||
| 7 | 6 straight losses, the Illini Central boys basketball team made | ||||||
| 8 | a complete turnaround, winning 15 of the last 18 games of the | ||||||
| 9 | season; during those games, Illini Central outscored its | ||||||
| 10 | opponents by an average of 16 points; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, During the season, the Illini Central boys | ||||||
| 12 | basketball team won the Tomahawk Conference Championship, the | ||||||
| 13 | Illini Central Regional, the Ridgeview Sectional, and the | ||||||
| 14 | Illinois State University Supersectional; the team finished | ||||||
| 15 | the season by winning the 3rd place game at Carver Arena in | ||||||
| 16 | Peoria after losing in the Final Four semifinal game by one | ||||||
| 17 | point; in total, the team went 6-1 during the State Tournament | ||||||
| 18 | Series and outscored its opponents by an average of 13 points | ||||||
| 19 | per game; and

| 20 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illini Central boys basketball | ||||||
| 21 | team are Derrick Himmel, Jesse Thompson, Ean Albers, Grant | ||||||
| 22 | Bale, Jordan Bradshaw, Jared Entwistle, Noah Kirby, Connor | ||||||

| 1 | Martin, Duncan McClure, Justin Onken, Zach Harman, Seth Kirby, | ||||||
| 2 | and Dylan List; the team's head coach is John Giesler and the | ||||||
| 3 | assistant coaches are Scott Francis and Tony Wherley; and

| 4 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illini Central boys basketball | ||||||
| 5 | team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication | ||||||
| 6 | for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we congratulate the members of the Illini Central boys | ||||||
| 10 | basketball team for their wonderful season and wish them | ||||||
