1 | AN ACT concerning government.
| |||||||||||||||||||
2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Intergovernmental Cooperation Act is | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

6 | (5 ILCS 220/2) (from Ch. 127, par. 742)

7 | Sec. 2. Definitions. For the
the purpose of this Act: | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | (1) The term "public agency" shall mean any unit of local | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | government as
defined in the Illinois Constitution of 1970, any | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | school district, any public
community college district, any | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | public building commission, the
State of Illinois, any agency | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | of the State government or of the United
States, or of any | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | other State, any political subdivision of another
State, and | |||||||||||||||||||
14 | any combination of the above pursuant to an intergovernmental
| |||||||||||||||||||
15 | agreement which includes provisions for a governing body of the | |||||||||||||||||||
16 | agency created
by the agreement.

17 | For the purposes of this Act, "public agency" includes the | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | Mid-America
Intermodal Authority Port District created under | |||||||||||||||||||
19 | the Mid-America Intermodal
Authority Port District Act.

20 | (2) The term "state" shall mean a state of the United | |||||||||||||||||||
21 | States.
