SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
60 ILCS 1/245-25 new

Amends the Township Code. Provides that, if the township board determines that one or more funds of the township are in excess of the amount needed for purposes of such fund or funds for the remainder of the then-current fiscal year, the township board may, within one year after the effective date of the amendatory Act, direct a one-time transfer of such excess funds to any other fund or funds of the township.

1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section
5245-25 as follows:
6 (60 ILCS 1/245-25 new)
7 Sec. 245-25. Excess township funds. If the township board
8determines that one or more funds of the township are in excess
9of the amount needed for purposes of such fund or funds for the
10remainder of the then-current fiscal year, the township board
11may, within one year after the effective date of this
12amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly, direct a
