| 1 | AN ACT concerning local government.
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Heart of Illinois Regional Port District Act | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | is amended by changing Section 10 as follows:

| 6 | (70 ILCS 1807/10)
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 10. Heart of Illinois Regional Port District created. | |||||||||||||||||||
| 8 | There is
created
a political subdivision, body politic, and
and | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | municipal corporation by the name of
the Heart
of Illinois | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | Regional Port District embracing
all the area within the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | corporate limits of
Peoria, Fulton, Tazewell, Woodford, and | |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | Marshall Counties and embracing
the
corporate limits of Mason | |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | County except for Havana Township. Territory may be
annexed to | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | the district in the manner provided in this Act. The district | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | may
sue and be
sued in its corporate name but execution shall | |||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | not in any case issue against
any
property of the district. It | |||||||||||||||||||
| 17 | may adopt a common seal and change the same at its
pleasure. | |||||||||||||||||||
