SENATE RESOLUTION
2    WHEREAS, Agriculture is the backbone of Illinois' economy,
3with over 72,000 farms covering nearly 27 million acres and
4marketing of agricultural products generating more than $51
5billion annually; and
6    WHEREAS, Illinois farmers play a crucial role in feeding
7the nation and the world by producing corn, soybeans, pork,
8beef, dairy, and specialty crops that are exported globally;
9and
10    WHEREAS, The dedication, innovation, and stewardship of
11Illinois farmers sustain rural communities, protect natural
12resources, and promote agricultural advancements that drive
13economic growth and food security; and
14    WHEREAS, Despite their vital contributions, Illinois
15farmers often face challenges related to public perception,
16regulatory burdens, and misinformation about modern farming
17practices; and
18    WHEREAS, It is essential to recognize and promote the hard
19work, resilience, and ingenuity of Illinois farmers to enhance
20public understanding and appreciation of their efforts;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we affirm our
3commitment to supporting Illinois farmers and promoting a
4positive perception of their essential work; and be it further
5    RESOLVED, That we encourage public education initiatives,
6outreach programs, and partnerships with agricultural
7organizations to highlight the economic, and environmental
8contributions of Illinois farms; and be it further
