2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of John Wayne McPhillips, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | November 22, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, John McPhillips was born on October 23, 1946; he | ||||||
6 | grew up in Chicago; he married Patricia Kelley; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, John McPhillips worked for Nu-Art Printing Co. in | ||||||
8 | Bedford Park for many years; he moved to the Manhattan area in | ||||||
9 | 1987 and began working for the Will County Highway Department; | ||||||
10 | he retired in 2009; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, John McPhillips was known as a man in constant | ||||||
12 | motion; he enjoyed working outdoors, maintaining his farm | ||||||
13 | equipment, taking care of his multiple fish tanks, collecting | ||||||
14 | just about everything, and spending time with his grandsons; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, John McPhillips was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | mother, Mary McPhillips; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, John McPhillips is survived by his loving wife of | ||||||
19 | 53 years, Patricia; his daughters, Laurie (Russ) | ||||||
20 | McPhillips-Weglarz and Kelly (Mike) Bollinger; his grandsons, |

1 | John Weglarz, Ryan Bollinger, and Sean Bollinger; his sister, | ||||||
2 | Joanne (Jim) Sweeney; and his brother, Bill Schuler; therefore, | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | John Wayne McPhillips and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
8 | further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
