2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kenneth William Oestermeyer of Burr | ||||||
4 | Ridge, who passed away on March 27, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer was born in 1946 to Helen and | ||||||
6 | Walter Oestermeyer and grew up on the South Side of Chicago; in | ||||||
7 | 1967, he earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering | ||||||
8 | from Valparaiso University and married Cheryl Roth, settling in | ||||||
9 | Evanston; they eventually moved to Hinsdale; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer owned an industrial valve | ||||||
11 | actuation business in the western suburbs for more than 30 | ||||||
12 | years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer enjoyed golfing, playing gin, | ||||||
14 | shark fishing, and watching televised sports; he also enjoyed | ||||||
15 | making memories on family trips; and

16 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer is survived by his wife of 46 | ||||||
17 | years, Cheryl; his son, Jon (Sarah); his daughters, Suzanne | ||||||
18 | (Paul) Galdun and Alexis (Sergio) Oneca; his brother, David | ||||||
19 | (Loretta); his 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, and Luke | ||||||
20 | Oestermeyer, Harrison and Emilia Galdun, and Cohen and Tobias | ||||||
21 | Oneca; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Kenneth William Oestermeyer, and extend our sincere | ||||||
4 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
5 | him; and be it further
