SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Kenneth William Oestermeyer of Burr
Ridge, who passed away on March 27, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer was born in 1946 to Helen and
Walter Oestermeyer and grew up on the South Side of Chicago; in
1967, he earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
from Valparaiso University and married Cheryl Roth, settling in
Evanston; they eventually moved to Hinsdale; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer owned an industrial valve
actuation business in the western suburbs for more than 30
years; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer enjoyed golfing, playing gin,
shark fishing, and watching televised sports; he also enjoyed
making memories on family trips; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer is survived by his wife of 46
years, Cheryl; his son, Jon (Sarah); his daughters, Suzanne
(Paul) Galdun and Alexis (Sergio) Oneca; his brother, David
(Loretta); his 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, and Luke
Oestermeyer, Harrison and Emilia Galdun, and Cohen and Tobias
Oneca; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Kenneth William Oestermeyer, and extend our sincere
condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Kenneth Oestermeyer as an expression
of our deepest sympathy.
