2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Michael "Mike" J. David of East Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on July 14, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mike David was born to Howard and Lila (Johnson) | ||||||
6 | David in Rock Island on February 2, 1948; he married Sandra | ||||||
7 | Berthoud, with whom he raised two children; he served in the | ||||||
8 | U.S. Navy; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Mike David was a bartender at the West Inn in East | ||||||
10 | Moline; he also worked as a welder and most recently in | ||||||
11 | maintenance at the Black Hawk Hills Apartments; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Mike David enjoyed making enchiladas, cooking | ||||||
13 | Thanksgiving dinners, and being with his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Mike David was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his sister, Patricia Johnson; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Mike David is survived by his children, Anessa | ||||||
17 | (Louie) Dooley, and Michael J. David II; his eight | ||||||
18 | grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren with one on the way; | ||||||
19 | and his siblings, Larry David, Jerry David, Donna Coons, and | ||||||
20 | Doris "Doty" Melchi; therefore, be it
