2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of David Lee Griffin of Milan, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 2, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, David Griffin was born to Elmer and Connie | ||||||
6 | (Miles) Griffin in Moline on December 26, 1946; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Army; he married Rita Hill in Milan on March 16, 1974; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, David Griffin was a logistics analyst at the Rock | ||||||
10 | Island Arsenal; he later worked as a consultant for Hancock | ||||||
11 | Management, retiring in 2011; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, David Griffin was a past president and 40 year | ||||||
13 | member of the Milan Lions Club, through which he was a Melvin | ||||||
14 | Jones Fellow; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, David Griffin enjoyed hunting, fishing, road | ||||||
16 | trips, and the Chicago Bears; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, David Griffin was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents and his brother, Ronald Griffin; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, David Griffin is survived by his wife, Rita; his |

| |||||||
1 | children, Sherry Reynolds, Brett (Abby) Griffin, and Kara | ||||||
2 | Griffin; and his grandchildren, Lexy, Jack, Jon, Emmett, and | ||||||
3 | Van; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | David Lee Griffin and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||
8 | further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| ||||||
