2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Timmy "Tim" Lee Nelson of Carrollton, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 16, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was born in Alton to Paul B. Nelson Jr. | ||||||
6 | and Nancy Carol (Guffey) Forsythe on August 7, 1975; he | ||||||
7 | attended Civic Memorial High School, and then transferred to | ||||||
8 | Calhoun High School, where he was a player on the 1992 Calhoun | ||||||
9 | Warrior State Football Championship Team, and graduated in | ||||||
10 | 1993; he graduated from ITT Technical School in 1997; he | ||||||
11 | married Casey Scott in Destin, Florida on May 11, 2013; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was employed as a client implementation | ||||||
13 | specialist at Thompson Reuters; in 2008, he was named head | ||||||
14 | football coach at Marquette Catholic High School in Alton; he | ||||||
15 | then served as the head football coach at Dupo High School; in | ||||||
16 | 2013, he returned home to Calhoun High School and served as the | ||||||
17 | assistant football coach until the time of his passing; and

18 | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson inspired others with his | ||||||
19 | determination; his son and wife were the light of his life; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson was preceded in death by his mother, | ||||||
21 | Carol Forsythe; his father-in-law, Albert W. Scott III; his |

1 | stepsister, Shelly Forsythe; and his grandparents; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Tim Nelson is survived by his father; his wife, | ||||||
3 | Casey; his son, Crew Albert Nelson; his brother and | ||||||
4 | sister-in-law, Paul B. and Emy Nelson III; his stepbrother, | ||||||
5 | James Forsythe; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis | ||||||
6 | and Michelle LaMarsh; his nephew, Paul B. Nelson IV; and his | ||||||
7 | nieces, Mackenzie and Adalynn LaMarsh; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Timmy "Tim" Lee Nelson and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
11 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
