SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Kenneth J. Giseburt of Moline, who passed
away on September 18, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt was born in Champaign to Paul
Giseburt and Bertha (Koritz) Giseburt on August 20, 1933; he
served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the 1950s; he married
Johanna E. Seeliger in Loda on January 31, 1959; he earned his
bachelor's degree from Illinois State University; he earned his
master's degree in education from the University of Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, After over 20 years of service, Kenneth Giseburt
retired from Holland Motor Express in Rock Island in the early
1990s; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt was preceded in death by his
parents and one sister; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt is survived by his wife; his son,
James; his granddaughter, Amanda (Brandon) Carleton; and his
great-grandchild, Ellis; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Kenneth J. Giseburt and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Kenneth Giseburt as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
