SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Linda Marie Lonigro of Crystal Lake, who
passed away on August 10, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Linda Lonigro was born on June 30, 1964 in
McHenry; her parents were Jean and Harold Walters; and
WHEREAS, Linda Lonigro worked as an EMT for the Crystal
Lake Fire Department for 10 years; she was a registered nurse
in the home health care field and raised 11 foster children
from 1999 through 2007; she also worked for the McHenry County
Youth Sports Association and the 15-year old World Series held
in Crystal Lake every year; and
WHEREAS, Linda Lonigro was preceded in death by her father
and a nephew, Ryan; and
WHEREAS, Linda Lonigro is survived by her husband of 20
years, Richard Lonigro; 2 children, Cody Lonigro and Cassidy
Lonigro; 2 step-children, Emily (Dan) Boylan and Sam (Sabrina)
Lonigro; a granddaughter, Ginger; her mother, Jean Nicholson; 4
siblings, Gary (Michele) Mack, Laurel Sweeney, Catherine
(David) Schmit, and Lisa (John) Simon; 15 nieces and nephews,
Emily, Amanda, Nicholas S., Kristin, Kyle, Lindsay, Taylor,

Justin, Jeremy, Rachel, Ben, Christina, Melissa, Sydney, and
Nicholas L.; and 4 grandnieces and grandnephews, Symphony,
Cameron, Lily, and Wyatt; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Linda Marie Lonigro;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Linda Lonigro as an expression of
our sympathy.
